Privacy policy
Last updated: 9 October 2026
Sticklink is made by Rotordeck, a brand of Hans Fraiponts (Ghent, Belgium). This policy covers the Sticklink app for Windows, macOS and Linux, including the Microsoft Store version.
We collect nothing
Sticklink has no accounts, no analytics, no tracking, no advertising and no crash reporting. It never sends your data to Rotordeck or anyone working for us.
What stays on your computer
- Radio data. Sticklink reads stick and telemetry data from your EdgeTX radio over USB and shows it in OBS. This data is processed on your computer only.
- Local overlay server. Sticklink runs a small web server that only answers to your own computer (127.0.0.1). Other devices on your network or the internet can’t reach it.
- Settings. Your overlay settings and, if you enter one, your OBS WebSocket password are saved in a settings file on your computer. They are used only to connect to OBS on your own machine.
- Recordings. If you record a session, the file is saved on your computer and stays there until you delete it.
The one optional outside connection: map tiles
When the GPS map is shown, map images are downloaded from the map provider you choose: OpenStreetMap by default, or CARTO, or a custom server you enter. Like any website, that provider receives your IP address and the map area being viewed, which shows roughly where your drone is flying. Their own privacy policies apply. To turn this off, set the map provider to “none” or hide the GPS block; Sticklink then makes no internet connections at all.
Children
Sticklink collects no personal data from anyone, including children.
Changes
If Sticklink ever starts collecting data, we’ll update this policy before that version ships and change the date above.
